The beginning of a new year always seems fresh and hopeful. We set new goals and expectations for ourselves and our lives. Wouldn’t it be great if all our plans turned out just the way we dreamed? We would go to bed every night and think, “Well, today went well!”

Unfortunately, life has other plans. Like a star pitcher in a baseball game, just as we get settled in to the fastball, life throws a curveball. And some of those curves are just too much to handle by ourselves. But, no worries, there’s a new player in town! Cody Wheeler is his name and he is here to help when life goes wrong.cody-wheeler-state-farm

BERRY FARMS is proud to announce the opening of our very own STATE FARM agent, Cody Wheeler. Cody’s office is located in the stand-alone building in the Publix parking lot and, beginning Monday, February 27th, would love for you to come by and introduce yourself and just sit a spell and chat.  As Cody said to me, “Berry Farms is all about community and knowing your neighbor. I want people to know me, meet with me or just stop by the office to have a cup of coffee and talk about life” (and maybe a little baseball?). Go ahead and take him up on that offer, no high pressure sales tactics, just pop in and say welcome to the neighborhood so you will know him when you see him and his wife, Ashley, out and about the community.

Cody is a native Tennessean born and raised in Savannah, TN. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (go Vols!) where he received his BS in Management then completed his MBA at Tennessee Tech. He then lived in Memphis where he worked in a State Farm office and, after a year, he and Ashley moved to Franklin. And they LOVE Franklin!

“My wife and I are excited to get more involved in this family-friendly community. We are South Franklin residents so we do our shopping in the area. Our favorite restaurants are in Berry Farms and Ashley exercises at THE BARRE. It’s important to support local businesses and we enjoy doing our part.”

Really getting to know your insurance agent is vital to being prepared for life’s curveballs. Cody reminded me, “If you think about it, your insurance agent is one of the first phone calls you make in an emergency situation”. State Farm offers auto, home, property, business, life, and health insurance. They also offer Annuities and banking products. Did you know they had bank products?? Me either! According to Cody they offer some of the best rates in the Southeast. They have home mortgages, vehicle loans, home equity loans, checking and savings and more! Wow! Who knew! Cody really is a one-stop-shop right in our own neighborhood.

We are truly blessed to have Cody and his wife, Ashley, join us in South Franklin. “I had complete freedom to place my office anywhere in Franklin. It didn’t take me long to realize that Berry Farms offered a unique opportunity. It’s young but growing, just like my business. I want to grow as my community grows and BERRY FARMS is the perfect place for that.”

Don’t wait for the curveball to give Cody a call. He’s ready and willing to talk baseball now (he’s an Atlanta Braves fan but this Reds fan will give him a pass for that since he’s a fellow Vols fan – a whole lot of sports talk is going to be going on…). Oh, and he will also be glad to talk about your insurance needs. After all, he’s here to help life go right. “Our mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams.”
