Williamson County government and businesses participated in Mobility Week Sept 12th – 16th. Each day had a different theme – Flex work day, Food Trucks, Rideshare, and Parking Day. Parking Day is a worldwide event created to bring awareness that less cars on the road – and taking up parking spots – leaves more spaces for community parks, trails, and recreational areas. Williamson County Chamber held a contest to see which Parking Day beautification project was the best. The pictures were amazing, inspiring, and just fun!

In BERRY FARMS, we are all about a less need to drive and more opportunities to enjoy life in our own community “back yard”. A mixed-use, master-planned community, by design, puts people near the things they do and need every day. Imagine your office being a 9 iron away. Or dinner options just a stroll down the street. Need sugar? Don’t bother your neighbor – again – bike over to Publix. With each new retailer, restaurant, and service addition, more opportunities are created to drive less and enjoy a simpler way of life.

As we all know, morning and afternoon rush hours are the peak traffic times with everyone trying to get to work. Fortunately, the BERRY FARMS office buildings are well under construction and offer a unique opportunity to live and work in a vibrant, forward-thinking environment. Now is the time to consider moving your company to BERRY FARMS for all the amenities and life-changing opportunities it can offer you and your employees.

Mobility Week and Parking Day can be a wake-up call to our much loved Williamson County. There are many things we can do to help ease the traffic congestion, as the week pointed out. The Great Gas “Shortage” just emphasized how dependent we are on our vehicles and having to drive everywhere. Did anyone notice the GGS happened on the same day as Parking Day? Kind of put an exclamation point on the end of Mobility Week! How’s that for Irony?
