(FRANKLIN, Tenn.) March 31, 2016 – Commercial growth continues in the Berry Farms mixed-use community with the announcement of new restaurants, retailers, and a veterinary clinic. Berry Farms Wine & Spirits, Tito’s Mexican Restaurant, Whit’s Frozen Custard, DSA Master Crafted Doors, Soulshine Pizza Factory, Berry Farms Animal Hospital, and No. 1 Chinese are all scheduled to open this year along with the already announced Publix grocery store.

Berry Farms Wine & Spirits opened March 2nd with Tito’s Mexican Restaurant to follow next week. Many local residents are familiar with Tito’s current location in Spring Hill and their original restaurant, Pueblo Real, on W. Main Street in Franklin.

DSA Master Crafted Doors and Whit’s Frozen Custard are opening later this spring. Based in Ohio, Whit’s superior frozen custard is made fresh daily. This will be their first Tennessee store.

SoulShine Pizza Factory is scheduled to open this summer in a new two story building. Soulshine will take the entire lower level of the building while the top level offers unique office space (available now). Soulshine Pizza Factory is a family friendly restaurant and bar with 4 locations including downtown Nashville. They will offer a wide variety of freshly prepared menu items, a full bar and live entertainment. In addition to stone baked pizza with gourmet toppings, Soulshine features cuisine heavily influenced by the gulf coast and New Orleans, like Crawfish Soup, Delta Tamales, Red Beans-n-Rice and Po Boys.

“We’re a family-owned business and not a big chain; we’re a true neighborhood hangout,” shares Soulshine founder ‘Brother’ Chris Sartin. “There’s usually someone playing guitar and singing. Dad can have a beer, mom can have a glass of wine, and kids love the pizza. This location gets us back to our roots with acoustic music in a family friendly neighborhood setting.”

Along with the new 46,000 SF Publix grocery store now under construction, Berry Farms Animal Hospital and No. 1 Chinese are projected to open late this year. The grocery store will be surrounded by 20,000 SF of additional retail space, all within walking distance for the residents of Berry Farms.

“After 25 years of service to the horse community, the team of doctors at Tennessee Equine Hospital is excited to announce our plans to open a small animal division at Berry Farms Town Center,” confirms Monty McInturff, DVM, manager and co-owner. “Berry Farms Animal Hospital will focus on the needs of all companion animals with quality wellness, dentistry, medicine and surgery for your pets. Caring for animals is our passion!”

The new retail announcements come on the heels of several local headquarter relocations including Ramsey Solutions, Lee Company and Tennessee Baptist Convention, as well as a Hampton Inn & Suites hotel under construction.
