“Many people must have noticed how dogs like to bark in the early evening. Indeed, twilight has sometimes been called “Dogs Barking Time.” Busy town dogs bark less than country dogs, but all dogs know all about the Twilight Barking. It is their way of keeping in touch with distant friends, passing on important news and enjoying a good gossip.” – Dodie Smith, The Hundred & One Dalmatians.
I grew up in the country and I know exactly what Dodie is talking about. You have probably witnessed it to. A nearby canine (maybe yours) starts barking then, far away, you hear the reply of a distant furry friend. If you keep listening, you may even hear more exchanges as the chain of barks and howls travel who knows how far.
I dare say the Twilight Bark is about to begin in BERRY FARMS! As we welcome the Grand Opening on Friday, March 3rd of the Berry Farms Animal Hospital, the animals are going to have a lot to talk about!
BERRY FARMS ANIMAL HOSPITAL is the first companion animal hospital owned and operated by the team at Tennessee Equine Hospital, a local equestrian veterinary hospital located right in Thompson’s Station! Tennessee Equine Hospital has been caring for the horses of the local and regional community for over 25 years and has now partnered with local, small animal veterinarian Dr. Mitch Mckee, who has over 15 years of experience in the local community, to open this small animal hospital focused on the needs of family pets.
But don’t let the “hospital” in the name fool you into thinking this is just for when Fido and Fluffy need emergency care. Yes – Dr. Mitch and his team have installed the latest in medical and surgical technology and provide hospitalization, digital radiography, ultrasonography, laboratory services and an in-house pharmacy, but they also provide alternative and complementary medicines such as herbal medicine, medical acupuncture and food therapy. “We offer complete veterinary care for companion animals. We want to be part of the local community by providing services focused on promoting healthy lifestyles for their family pets.” Other services include general wellness, dentistry and grooming.
Dr. Mitch and his talented team of compassionate doctors and staff are very excited about joining the growing businesses at Berry Farms and getting to know the Berry Farms and South Franklin residents. “Berry Farms is a beautiful, unique area with quality residents and businesses. We have a focus on providing top-of-the-line care for the four-legged family members here. We love the convenient location and the pet-friendly atmosphere in this rapidly developing community near our parent hospital in Thompson’s Station.”
Now if that isn’t enough to get the Twilight Bark started, I don’t know what is!
