(FRANKLIN, Tenn.) June 23, 2015 – Excitement is growing in South Franklin with the announcement that Publix will open a new 46,000 SF grocery store in Berry Farms, at the corner of Lewisburg Pike and Goose Creek Bypass. Boyle Investment Company is the developer, HMHA is the architect, and First Tennessee Bank is the lender. Berry Farms is a 600 acre mixed-use master planned community in the heart of Williamson County.

“Although South Franklin is experiencing significant residential growth with subdivisions like Berry Farms, the Highlands of Ladd Park and Stream Valley, the area is currently underserved with grocery, restaurants and retail shops,” observes Grant Kinnett of Boyle Investment Company, the developer of Berry Farms. “The Publix grocery store is planning a summer 2016 opening, along with 20,000 SF of additional retail space all within walking distance for the residents of Berry Farms. The total project will be $12.5 million, and will consist of Publix, restaurants, services and specialty retail.”

Berry Farms has completed its first two phases of development. There are over 130 residences and 27,000 SF of commercial retail businesses; but more is on the way with a total projection of 1,100 residential units, 1.8 million SF of retail and 3 million SF of office space.

“South Franklin and the Berry Farms submarket is emerging as a new economic engine for the City of Franklin,” states Phil Fawcett, partner at Boyle Investment Company. “This unique, landmark community is one of the fastest growing submarkets in the region and will serve as the southern gateway to Franklin.”

The neighborhoods in Berry Farms are designed to encourage community interaction and activity. All of the homes are within a 5-minute walk to shops, restaurants, offices, parks, a pool and pool house, and bocce ball courts. Homebuilders include Celebration Homes, Ford Custom Classic Homes, Legend Homes, Regent Homes and Stonegate Homes. Townhomes start in the $330’s and single family homes start in the $460’s. Other unique options include Town Center Homes (“flats”) and multi-story Live & Work units.

Berry Farms is defined by Luxury, Lifestyle and Location. Residential, retail and office users get all the benefits of an urban lifestyle and work environment with the added benefits of a suburban setting in Franklin; a walkable community where they can live, work, shop and play, right in the heart of Williamson County. And all in a location that can’t be matched, with convenient access to I-65 and 840.
