Did you see it? Have you been down Goose Creek Bypass (Peytonsville Road) to I-65 in the last month? Did you see the back up of traffic? Me neither!! The traffic has magically disappeared! Ok, so it wasn’t magic. It was just a $50 Million dollar project that included widening I-65 from two to four lanes in each direction, a new 10-lane bridge over I-65 to replace the old two-lane Peytonsville Road bridge, and widening Goose Creek Bypass from two lanes to four lanes. A lot of money, time and effort to make the traffic magically disappear!

If you live in Berry Farms, you already know the location is one of the great benefits of this developing South Franklin district. But with the rapid growth happening all over Williamson County, the roads and increased traffic are often an afterthought. Fortunately for us, TDOT recognized the priority of this intersection because it is the southern gateway to Franklin, TN. So while there will be be more homes, more restaurants, more stores and businesses, we have the infrastructure in place NOW to manage the anticipated growth!

The beauty of a master planned development like Berry Farms is the intentional vision to create a vibrant, sustainable community that provides a clear sense of place. Let the cars whiz by on the interstate – but here in Berry Farms, in this truly one-of-a-kind community, life takes on a slower, simpler pace. We walk to the grocery store (well, not yet but really, really soon!), stop in to pet the kitties at Happy Tales Humane, enjoy a drink at one of the restaurants or dessert at Whit’s – all while never having to get in our vehicle.
